Waterton Lakes National Park and Glacier National Park
Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park may not be around forever. Home to many glaciers, the dually administered park is actually Waterton Lakes National Park in Canada and Glacier National Park in the United States. But no matter what side of the border you visit the ice and snow-compacted glaciers are disappearing at an alarming rate.
When you travel the Going-to-the-Sun-Road, described by some as the most beautiful drive in the world, you will understand the need to protect this majestic place. Crisp, cool, and calm mountain lakes surround abruptly rising mountain peaks.
You cannot help but feel at peace during your visit. Endless hiking trails lead to hidden lakes, tumbling water falls, and of course, remote glaciers.
